I personally know next to nothing regarding the rest of your questions, but I too love the originality the dulcimer brings to his music, plus, it sounds good :-) Am looking forward to seeing the rest of the list, if there's more. Peace to you. Julia Christian

It's the last song on the CD and I believe that it is called, "Praise Song." Great for group singing! (BTW-I saw them at Creation and hope to see them in Lancaster, PA in a few weeks - what a great bunch!) I believe they credit Rich on the CD for being an example (or something along that line!) In Him, dawn I Peter 1:18-21 p.s. - does anyone know if Rich is a Calvinist?
From: 71740.3701@compuserve.com Date: Sun, 15 Sep 1996 22:30:53 Subject: world fest II rock review Dear Danl, Judging from some of the correspondence I've been reading there was a major mix up about Rich performing at World Fest II. We happened to be in Illinois that weekend for a 50th wedding anniversary party;not realizing World Fest was happening Alan and I were both surprized and miserable while we read the review the following Sunday in the Tribune. About Rich: "The only Reunion Records band to hit the side stage , Third Day, was no less energetic. Their inspired set moved the crowd to pogo, and featured a surprise appearance by Rich Mullins as the band covered his song "Creed." Mullins performed with his bandmate and roommate, Mitch McVicker, who handled the spotlight admirably on a new song, "Heaven IS Waiting," McVicker's vocal captured the heartfelt lyric of longing; "Heaven is waiting, Over the mesas, across the great divide. just past the horizon." I also heard he was working on some recording for another release this same week? Maybe this song is from his new play? Just thought you'd like to know? From the sounda of it he made no committments just strolled in---sounds pretty much like classic Rich to me. jewel
Regarding Rich's play (see [RichMailList 56]: Rich writing musical), I was visiting with Bob Michaels of Light 99 today, and he told me while returning from a radio conference in Atlanta, he ran into Rich on the flight back home. In visiting with Rich (who was returning home to the reservation), he found out that Rich is putting the finishing touches on his musical. Apparently Rich is not performing himself, but others who are include the Ragamuffins and DC Talk. Bob said, "That's all I can tell you about that", but he also hinted about some other exciting news that's not for public knowledge yet. I tell you that only to let you know that Rich is still in the "biz" of music ministry, and we can expect more.
By the way, I should tell you about the latest exciting news concerning Light 99 FM. You've often heard me refer to this fantastic 24 hour a day Christian station, now you can listen Light 99 yourself - wherever you are. Light 99 is now being broadcast 24 hours a day on the internet! Bob is getting email from all over the world from people who are checking it out. Go to Light 99's home page and check it out.
