Hi Rich fans,

Here's a review from Tim Rice on Rich's appearance at Agape Fest at Greenville College during Mother's Day weekend.

Thought I'd drop you a quick line about Rich's appearance at the Agape Fest,
Saturday, May 11. The rain had finally stopped, but the grounds were quite
muddy. The sky was mostly cloudy, there was some breeze, and it never got over
60 degrees. All of which is to say that it wasn't the best of concert
situations. Rich did a seminar early in the afternoon which we missed as we did
not buy a program (rats!). He came on about 4 pm, helping the emcee lead the
crowd in several rounds of "Hallelujah, Praise the Lord". Then he went into
leading the crowd in another chorus before playing some of his own music.

Rich was joined by Mitch McVicker, who played guitar, mandolin, and violin,
while Rich played guitar, piano, dulcimer, and mandolin. Rich asssured the
crowd that Mitch was not a replacement for Beaker, but was joining him for his
current concerts. I did not keep track of songs and can't remember them all,
but I do know that "Creed", "Calling Out Your Name", "Sometimes By Step", and
Brother's Keeper" were among them. Rich and Mitch also did a Bach piece as a
mandolin duet, which came off well for a first time performance. After about an
hour, Rich closed the time with what he said was "the song that you all have
been waiting for", "Awesome God". For myself, I heartily disagreed, and I hope
that it was not true for the majority of others.

I wish it had been longer and warmer and more intimate, but it was still nice
to hear Rich again. Both his songs and his thoughts are always a blessing, and
I thank God for using him, and I thank Rich for sharing them.

Tim
