The unthinkable has happened. Rich has been called home to the Father. Here is the official announcement so far...

Rich Mullins died late Friday evening after a traffic accident near Peoria Illinois. Rich was in his jeep with Mitch McVicker in route to Wichita for tonight's concert at Lawrence Dumont Stadium (Wichita, KS). The jeep lost control and flipped, ejecting both men. Rich was killed instantly. Mitch is in the special care unit of a Peoria hospital. Rich's parents have been notified, and memorial service and funeral plans will be announced at a later time. We'll hope to have some of that information available Monday morning. He was 41.
I have removed the Archive Page temporarily (for restructuring) and will not be responding to email for a while (because of the massive volume I'm receiving), however I will receive and collect messages of condolences and grieving and then post to this page in the future. I hope also to receive messages of thanksgiving to God for the short time he allowed us to be ministered to by Rich, before taking him home. I would like to thank those who have already sent messages, and ask your continued prayer for Rich's family and loved ones, and also for Mitch. I will be posting further info to the mailing list as I get it.
If it be Your will, Father, we ask that You would extend Your healing touch to all involved, and Your comforting presence to all of us left behind - until we meet on the other side of the cross.
